F.A.Q.
I purchased glasses from someplace else. Can I still bring them
to Eye Candy Vision to have them adjusted?
Q.
A.
Absolutely yes! We happily adjust and repair frames from other
optical companies for free. Eyeglasses purchased from online
companies are the only exception because their sub-standard
quality sometimes does not stand up to adjustments.
Q.
What insurances do you accept?
A.
We accept
If you have a different insurance, we offer "out of network"
discounts and assist you in getting reimbursed.

Q.
What's the difference between an Optician, an Ophthalmologist
and an Optometrist?
A.
An Optician supplies the frames and lenses and assures that
the fit and measurements are precise. An Ophthalmologist
deals with surgery and diseases of the eye, and an Optometrist
examines the eyes to determine your prescription. Additionally,
the Optometrist performs tests to check the health of your eyes
and refer you to an Ophthalmologist if needed.

Q.
How long will it take to get my finished glasses?
A.
Usually your eyeglasses will be ready for you within 24 - 48
hours. This, of course depends on your prescription.

We don't do eyeglasses online, nor do we recommend it.
Selling eyeglasses over the Internet is an industry that is not
regulated by the FDA, (but should be), largely because the
technology for determining the optical centers of the lenses
does not exist. The only measurement an online company will
ask for is called the PD (Pupillary Distance). This
measurement is used only to determine the distance between
your pupils. It does not tell the online order taker the vertical
height required to center the lenses. This measurement can
only be determined by standing face to face with an Optician,
and it varies from frame to frame.

Questions asked by real, live clients...
Do you examine kids' eyes?
If your child knows their letters we can
indeed examine them. If not, we
recommend seeing an eye doctor that
specializes in pediatric eye care.

Q.
Can you make my glasses from a prescription that I bring in?
Or do I need to have my eyes examined at Eye Candy Vision?
A.
We regularly use prescriptions written by outside doctors.
Even if you don't have a written copy, we can contact your
doctor or even can duplicate your prescription from your
eyeglasses.

Q.
Why are your contact lenses more expensive than online?
A.
You've probably noticed that everything is cheaper online.
Why? Because they don't have the expense of an actual store
front, and they are able to buy inventory by the millions,
keeping their prices as low as they do. While contact lenses
can be cheaper online, our prices are competitive. Additionally,
when you order your contacts from us, you are guaranteed
free replacements of lost or damaged lenses. For instance, if
you order a six month supply of lenses, we will give you FREE
replacements for those six months. Purchase a year supply
and we will replace lost or damaged lenses for
that full year. Plus, because we receive one
massive delivery of contacts per day, you can
reduce your carbon footprint by reducing the
number of individual shipments to your home.
